Harry Styles Leads Betting Odds to Play Elvis Presley in the Upcoming Baz Luhrmann Biopic
'The Lion King' Cast Stuns in New Photos with Their Characters

Luhrmann will reportedly make the final decision next week.

There are multiple talented, young actors currently in talks to play Elvis Presley in an upcoming Baz Luhrmann biopic -- but one former boy band member is the favorite among bookmakers.

According to Deadline Tuesday, actor Harry Styles is one of the stars in the running for the role of the "King of Rock." However, the One Direction alum is the top contender, at least for bookies.

On betting site, Bovada.com, Styles has the shortest odds at +140 compared to the other contenders Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Austin Butler and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

Teller is the second highest contender with +250, Elgort and Butler are tied at +400 and Taylor-Johnson is the longest shot with +600.

The actors all auditioned for Luhrmann, Deadline reported. The Oscar nominee has directed popular dramas including "Moulin Rouge" and "The Great Gatsby." Luhrmann wrote the script with Craig Pearce -- the two have worked together many times before.

Although Luhrmann won't be making his decision for the lead role until next week, Tom Hanks has already been cast as Presley's manager, Parker, per the outlet.

The biopic is said to follow "the relationship between the veteran manager and the young singer, who came from dirt-poor origins to become an iconic star who changed the course of music."
