"Over the last 10 years, my life totally made a complete 180," Wahler says now.

Jason Wahler returned to "The Hills: New Beginnings" on Monday night a changed man.

The reality TV star -- who famously dated Lauren Conrad on the original series -- made his debut on MTV's revival last night and got incredibly candid about his checkered past. While it's been a turbulent decade, Wahler popped back up on the show with a totally different outlook on life.

Before he and wife Ashley Slack met up with a few costars for a concert at the beach, Wahler reflected on his tumultuous Hollywood bad boy days.

"Justin Bobby is somebody I used to party pretty hard with. I was a womanizing alcoholic," he recalled. "18-23 I went to 12 different treatment centers from Florida to Hawaii, I was arrested 18 times. Over the last 10 years, my life totally made a complete 180."

Wahler, who has a string of arrests for assault and drinking charges, has been very open in the past about his struggles with both alcohol and cocaine addiction. Following his time on the OG "Hills," he founded a men's sober living home, though admitted he relapsed in 2018. He married Slack in 2013 and the two welcomed a baby girl, Delilah, in 2017.

"This is the first sober relationship I had ever entered into, ever," Wahler said of Slack on Monday night. "I had actual feelings and emotions because I had numbed stuff out for so many years that I didn't know what it was to have feelings anymore. She's just so caring."

Before the new season began, Wahler told Page Six he was excited for viewers to meet the new Jason.

"I'm just most excited for people to get to see my authentic self this time," he said. "I was definitely not who I was 10 or 12 years ago. I'm excited to show what sobriety looks like. I'm excited to show what recovery looks like, and you know for me it was awesome to be able to interact with these guys because, I mean, 10, 12 years ago, I may have physically been there but mentally I wasn't present."

"The Hills: New Beginnings" airs Mondays on MTV.
