Nipsey was shot and killed outside his Marathon clothing store in South LA on March 31. 29-year-old Eric Holder was subsequently charged with his murder.
Fans hoping to pay tribute at the store, which has remained closed since his death, found the entire mall fenced off on Thursday in an effort to stop crowds from congregating.
Indeed 19 people were injured there the day after the shooting, when a vigil turned into a stampede after a false report of shots being fired.
During Nipsey's funeral procession through LA ten days later, one person was killed and three more were hurt in a real shooting.
