Although Mackenzie didn't specify what the split was over, she did appear to suggest some women had tried to move in on her man.
"To the girls (I know who you are) who called in. Nice try," she tweeted Friday, right before announcing the split.
Some people believe the tweet was in reference to a recent episode of "Teen Mom OG," which was Mackenzie and Josh's first appearance on the show. In the episode, Mackenzie worried her husband had cheated on her. After Josh went out to a Texas bar, Mackenzie received a text from a woman who claimed she saw him. The mom of three then confronted her husband, who denied anything happened.
"We decided to stick around and have some beers and I guess someone was there and we just got talking about this or that, and that was it," Josh said. "There was no affection or anything like that there."
He added, "I was scared to tell you that I was at a bar."
"Teen Mom OG" airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
