Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino is a free man!
After serving an eight-month sentence for tax evasion, the 37-year-old "Jersey Shore" star was released from Otisville Federal Correctional Institution in New York Thursday morning, just in time to celebrate "Jerzday" with his co-stars and wife, Lauren Sorrentino (née Pesce).

View Story"We are elated to finally close this chapter of our life," the couple said in a joint statement. "Thank you to our family, friends and fans for the continuous love and support during this time, it brought us so much peace and comfort. We look forward to continuing our life as husband and wife and working on baby situations!"
Mike pleaded guilty to the charges in January 2018 and was sentenced in October.
"Turn up we free!!! #freesitch," the ripped reality star tweeted shortly after his release. Sharing her hubby's post, Lauren added a GIF of "Game of Thrones" hero Jon Snow famously saying, "My watch has ended."
Posting to his own Instagram page for the first time in eight months, Mike also shared a photo with Lauren and their dog, seemingly from inside their home. "Living my best life with my beautiful wife," he captioned the shot. Lauren shared the same image, writing, "The house don't fall when the bones are good. Welcome home honey."
Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi commented, "So fricken happy for you guys love you 3," while Ronnie Ortiz-Magro's baby mama, Jen Harley, wrote, "Yasssssss."

The official "Jersey Shore" Instagram page is also celebrating, sharing a video of Mike saying, "Listen, I wouldn't bet against Big Daddy Sitch. You can throw me to a pack of wolves; I shall return leading the pack." The caption read, "Welcome home, @mikethesituation! Send him some love in the comments down below!"
And love they sent.

To their Stories, both Lauren and Nicole reposted Barstool Sports' tweet that read, "Our long national nightmare is over! The Situation has been released from prison. Karma is about to be LIT tonight." The "Jersey Shore" official Twitter page even changed its name to "Welcome home, Mike!"
But the celebrations go beyond the Sorrentino household, the state of New Jersey and MTV; fans from all walks of life are throwing Big Daddy Sitch one helluva a party online.
