The "Riverdale" actor made the joke in a birthday tribute to Ripa who turned 49.
Mark Consuelos shared a sweet birthday tribute to his wife Kelly Ripa on Wednesday.
The "Riverdale" actor, 48, posted a series of throwback pics from his almost 23-year marriage to the "Live With Kelly and Ryan" host who turned 49, as well as some childhood snaps. And he even made a quip about how she's made his life more stable.
"Happy Birthday to my Fave. I'm really glad you were born... Because let's face it, if you weren't, I would've been married 3 or 4 times by now," Consuelos joked in the caption.

"Which would've been really expensive, not to mention the super tense parent teacher conferences and all the awkward blended family holiday/vacations. Anyway, happy birthday sweetie," he added.
And Ripa shared an Instagram story featuring the gorgeous bouquet of white flowers Consuelos gave her with the caption: "Best husband ever."
The couple, who met on the set of "All My Children" in 1995, share son Michael, 22, daughter Lola, 18 and son Joaquin, 16.

Ripa's talk show co-host, Ryan Seacrest, surprised her as well with a gigantic arrangement of balloons in her dressing room. "Nobody told me it was my final birthday," Ripa joked in an Instagram video.
During "Live With Kelly and Ryan", Consuelos joined Ripa and Seacrest to help cut into a birthday cake shaped and decorated like a loaf of bread as the audience sang "Happy Birthday".
