Luke Perry's Children Post Emotional Tributes in Honor of Late Actor's 53rd Birthday

Luke Perry's children are honoring their dad on what would have been his 53rd birthday.

On Friday, the late actor's kids Sophie and Jack both paid tribute to their dad on his first birthday following his tragic death in March.

Sophie, who had rushed home from a humanitarian trip in Africa to be by her father's side when he died, has been very open with her followers through her grieving process. On her dad's birthday, the 19-year-old shared throwback photos of her and Perry in a sweet embrace.

In the two pics, above, which were of the same image, Sophie and the "Riverdale" star looked like they were dressed for a special occasion.

"Happy birthday, fashion icon," Sophie captioned the post. "I can hear you doing your best Tim Gunn impersonation now. Love you the most."

Perry's son Jack, who wrestles under the name "Jungle Boy," also shared a heartfelt tribute for his late father's birthday. The 22-year-old shared a collage of Perry pics.

"Happy birthday, old man," Jack captioned the post. "I'll see you somewhere."

Perry passed away on March 4 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Burbank, days after suffering a "massive" stroke at his Los Angeles home. He was 52.

Earlier this week, "Riverdale" said goodbye to Perry's character Fred Andrews on the Season 4 premiere. Though the actor died while the show was still filming its third season, the cast and crew took the time to craft a true sendoff to Perry with an episode almost entirely devoted to his loss.

A few times throughout the hour, the actors' true sense of grief seemed to come through as the characters processed theirs as well.
