It's the first of November, meaning Mariah Carey season has officially commenced!
And to celebrate its start, the five-time Grammy winner has released a new music video for the holiday song some of us listen to all year, "All I Want For Christmas Is You," with a whole bunch of previously unreleased footage of what appears to be '90s Mimi.
Today also marks 25 years since the holiday anthem was born.
Much like the songstress herself, "All I Want For Christmas Is You" seems ageless. Taken off her "Merry Christmas" album, which will be re-released today as a two-disc deluxe edition, the cheery track is one of the best-selling singles of all time of any genre. Since 1994, there have been 16 million copies sold worldwide.
Kicking off Nov. 22 is Carey's limited engagement holiday tour titled -- but of course -- "All I Want For Christmas Is You."
"Mariah will bring an extravagant, festive outing that only she can deliver to limited cities across the U.S. this winter," reads a press release for the event. "Her special run of can't-miss shows will bring out the festive spirit in fans of all ages."
Presented by Hallmark Channel, the tour will begin with five dates at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on the 22nd, 23th, 27th, 29th and 30th of November. Those will be followed by shows in Atlantic City, Washington, D.C., Uncasville, Boston and New York from Dec. 7 through 15.
For each ticket sold, $1 will benefit Toys for Tots, which will also collect unwrapped toys at each stop on the tour. Tickets are on sale now.
