The confusion began when Reeves, 55, hit the red carpet with artist Alexandra Grant, 46, at the LACMA Art + Film Gala over the weekend. With her beautiful, silver hair pinned back, Grant had an uncanny resemblance to the 74-year-old Oscar winner, and fans went wild.
"Y'all I'm not gonna lie, I didn't have my glasses on the first time I saw it today and I thought Keanu Reeves was dating Helen Mirren," one person tweeted.

Though Mirren has been married to director Taylor Hackford for 22 years, she knows Reeves well and thinks the world of him, as he worked with Hackford on the 1997 film "The Devil's Advocate."
"I do know Keanu very well. He did a film with my husband and he is just the most adorable, lovely person," Mirren said at the event. "So she's a lucky girl and I'm sure that he's a lucky boy."

Meanwhile, "The Good Liar" marks the first time Mirren has worked with Ian McKellen for a film, which is directed by Oscar-winner Bill Condon.
The A-list juggernaut hits theaters November 15.
