The confusion began when Keanu hit the red carpet with a silver-haired beauty last weekend.
The confusion began when Reeves, 55, hit the red carpet with artist Alexandra Grant, 46, at the LACMA Art + Film Gala over the weekend. With her beautiful, silver hair pinned back, Grant had an uncanny resemblance to the 74-year-old Oscar winner, and fans went wild.
"Y'all I'm not gonna lie, I didn't have my glasses on the first time I saw it today and I thought Keanu Reeves was dating Helen Mirren," one person tweeted.
"I saw that," Mirren told ET -- referring to the social media uproar -- while on her own red carpet at the premiere of her new movie, "The Good Liar," in New York on Wednesday. "That was very flattering on me, you know, because she's obviously lovely."

Is it just me that thought Keanu Reeves was going out with Helen Mirren at first glance or?— Melissa Quinn (@Melissa_Quinn90) November 5, 2019
Though Mirren has been married to director Taylor Hackford for 22 years, she knows Reeves well and thinks the world of him, as he worked with Hackford on the 1997 film "The Devil's Advocate."
"I do know Keanu very well. He did a film with my husband and he is just the most adorable, lovely person," Mirren said at the event. "So she's a lucky girl and I'm sure that he's a lucky boy."
Reeves and Grant have previously been linked as creative and business partners, collaborating on the books "Ode to Happiness" and "Shadows" in 2011 and 2016. The two also started a publishing company together.
Meanwhile, "The Good Liar" marks the first time Mirren has worked with Ian McKellen for a film, which is directed by Oscar-winner Bill Condon.
The A-list juggernaut hits theaters November 15.
