"He went after my wife on Twitter. Do I look like Ted Cruz?"
Hiring and firing him was just business. But coming for his wife? That's personal.
Anthony Scaramucci has revealed the real reason behind his beef with Donald Trump: attacking Mrs. Scaramucci on Twitter.
"I think the guy is a very bad guy, and remember — he went after my wife on Twitter," he said. "Do I look like Ted Cruz? I'm an Italian kid from New York. I'm from Long Island, you can't go after my family."

"Again I say that metaphorically because we've got all this sensitivity in our lives," he hastened to add. "And he will be beaten."
He was speaking in New York after the Kentucky gubernatorial election earlier this month, after Democratic nominee Andy Beshear beat incumbent Republican Governor Matt Bevin in the once-Trump stronghold state — or as Scaramucci put it, Trump "got schmeisted".
"That's a referendum on Donald J. Trump," he said. "So he's going to get destroyed next year.
"And you know who's going to be working the next 362 days? Let me tell you how many Mooches that is. That's 32 Mooches. Each Mooch is 11 days. You know who's going to be working the next 32 Mooches to make sure he's out of the White House? That will be me, all over the country. Well, mostly in the swing states."
He did, however, say that he would forgive the president if an apology was forthcoming.

"I don't keep grudges. But you don't go after my wife on Twitter," he said. "I mean, who the hell do you think you are? That's my wife."
Scaramucci, who has been married to Deirdre Ball since 2014, said he doesn't believe Trump's Twitter account should be shut down.
"I believe in the First Amendment, he can do whatever he wants," he said. "But if he's coming after my wife, him and I are going to be at war."
Trump and Scaramucci have fired plenty of shots at each other on Twitter since his sacking on July 31, 2017.
But it was this tweet in August that really seemed to get under the skin:
....got fired. Wrote a very nice book about me just recently. Now the book is a lie? Said his wife was driving him crazy, “something big” was happening with her. Getting divorced. He was a mental wreck. We didn't want him around. Now Fake News puts him on like he was my buddy!
