Lady Gaga is recovering in luxury.
The singer recently underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum in her hip ... and you won't believe what she's been rolling around in since the operation.
Celebrity photographer Terry Richardson shared a new photo of Mother Monster on his website, showing her sitting in her brand new 24-karat gold plated wheelchair (clad in a Mathieu Mirano Fall '13 coat).
Yep, gold-plated.
According to MTV, stylist Ken Borochov had only one week to complete the creation, which also features a leather canopy.
"I certainly wasn't expecting that phone call and have never done a wheelchair but am always up for a challenge and was thrilled to create what I affectionately dubbed the Chariot, a chair fit only for a queen," Ken told MTV.
It may seem a bit extreme ... but then again, this is Lady Gaga. She once traveled via egg down the red carpet.
