When Shannyn Sossamon first hit the scene in the early 2000s, she was one of the Hollywood It Girls.
With roles alongside some of the hottest heartthrobs around -- including Heath Ledger, Josh Hartnett and James Van Der Beek -- she quickly made a name for herself in films like "A Knight's Tale," "40 Days and 40 Nights" and "The Rules of Attraction."
Now 36 and a mother to two children -- Audio Science, 12, and Clayton, 3 -- those days are a bit blurry to the actress.
"I don't remember anything," she tells toofab's Brian Particelli when asked what it was like to gain notoriety during such a wild time in Hollywood. "I always say that I wasn't really ready when I started to do movies and so I learned as I've been going. It was fun, but I was definitely a little reckless being when I was younger, so I don't remember much!"
Following films like "Wristcutters: A Love Story," "The Holiday" and a starring role as a mother in peril on this summer's "Wayward Pines," Sossamon once again plays a protective matriarch in "Sinister 2," in theaters this weekend.
"I won't do a lot of horror or psychological thriller unless it's incredibly moving to me, because they're stressful," she tells us about taking the role.
During filming, the actress was actually injured on set during a scene where supernatural forces make household furniture fly around the living room.
"There was an accident that happened where I was hit by a prop on one day, so that was kind of freaky," she tells us. When asked if she thinks ghosts may be responsible though, she's reluctant.
"Sure .... that's what I've been saying!"
