Red-headed bombshell Bella Thorne has been pretty candid about her acne and skin issues, posting Snapchats and Instagram pics documenting her struggles.
And now we know why.
Thorne is the new face for an acne line from Bioré Skincare.
“I’m excited about this partnership,” the 19 year old told PeopleStyle. “I hope I help somebody out there because I’m spreading the word.”
Thorne is teaming up with Bioré to promote the brand’s new three-step acne solution, which includes a cleanser and two scrubs.
She describes her skin as combination-oily, and she’s suffered with dermatitis in the past. Thorne has even gone so far as to take prescription-strength Accutane, but she still swears by Bioré.
“What’s great about Bioré is they have different products for different skin types. A lot of brands don’t,” she said.
Two products she can’t live without: the new Bioré Charcoal Acne Clearing Cleanser and the Bioré Baking Soda Acne Scrub.
Also Bioré-obsessed is “Pretty Little Liars” star Shay Mitchell, who has been the face of the skincare line since April of last year.
But Bella’s goal isn’t just clear skin. She wants to be an advocate for those like her who suffer with troublesome skin. She wants people to know that confidence is possible.
“Everybody kind of likes to shove it under the rug and it shouldn’t be because it’s normal to not be confident,” she said. “It’s normal to wonder if you’re pretty or not.”
