Lorde debuted a brand-new song titled "Sober" during a surprise pre-Coachella gig Friday night at Pappy & Harriet's in Pioneertown, California.
"$20 tickets because I'm 20 and because I love you," Lorde tweeted on Friday. "Let's get raucous before Coachella on Sunday night."
Minutes later, the venue sold out and Lorde tweeted, "Um holy shit you guys just sold that out."
In addition to debuting "Sober," Lorde also performed "Royals" and "Team" from her "Pure Heroine" album. Other songs -- "Green Light" and "Liability," played during her "Saturday Night Live" musical appearance -- were mixed in with the singer's older hit material.
Lorde will play Coachella on Sunday with an encore performance on Apr. 23. Her next album, "Melodrama," will be released Jun. 16.
