Jennifer Love Hewitt ditched her usually glam looks and got downright dirty yesterday in NYC -- where she bloodied up for a guest role on "Law & Order: SVU."
The role will be one of Jennifer's most serious to date -- according to TV Guide, she'll be playing a woman who has been raped and is afraid to leave her house.
JLH was spotted with "SVU" star Mariska Hargitay on the set, co-star Christopher Meloni was there too.
The episode is set to air September 29.
