It's official -- Christina Aguilera has filed for divorce.
After announcing that she and husband of five years Jordan Bratman were separating on Tuesday, Aguilera took the next step today -- and filed a divorce petition in Los Angeles.
Christina cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. September 11, 2010 was listed as the date of separation.
Aguilera is seeking joint physical and legal custody of the couple's 2-year-old son, Max, and wishes to terminate Bratman's ability to get child support.
The petition states that couple did have a prenup, which asks that "Earnings and accumulations of [Aguilera] before marriage, during marriage and from and after the date of separation" be considered separate property.
Christina and Bratman married in February 2005.
