Newly-single Christina Aguilera, who split last month from husband Jordan Bratman, is crediting her adorable son Max, who turns three in January, with helping her get through this tumultuous period.
In an interview with the Redbook magazine's December issue, the singer says, "Thankfully, I have Max to keep me on a sane path. His needs and happiness are my top priorities, and my biggest concern is to protect him and make him feel safe."
And Nicole Richie, Aguilera's BFF, tells the magazine that the singer is an extremely dedicated mom. "To watch her as a mother only skyrockets the respect I have for her. She is the woman who's recording until 4 a.m. and up at 7 to be with her son. Her dedication to Max is incredible."
