Jill Zarin's bedding line made its debut just a few weeks ago, but the "Real Housewives of New York" star is already planning the line's second collection, TooFab has exclusively learned. Plus, she's planning to launch a Spanx-esque line of shape-contouring products.
The current bedding collection, sold exclusively at Bed, Bath & Beyond, features 4-piece bedding sets in black-and-creme (with sapphire blue highlights), rust-and-red, ivory-gold-and-black, and dark plum.
But an industry source tells TooFab that for the second collection, Zarin is looking to include "more blues and greys, to make it look very 'decorator,' the type of bedding that high-end designers buy for their clients. Jill's also looking to add a 'masculine' set to the collection to target guys."
Adds the source, "The thinking behind the line really is about emulating her 'Housewife' lifestyle."
Celeb fans of the line, which starts at $180, already include singer Taylor Dayne, and mother-daughter reality TV stars-turned-jewelry designer duo Lisa and Brittny Gastineau. Dayne even Tweeted on Black Friday, "my friend @JillZarin has THE most comfortable and chic new bedding line at bedbathandbeyond.com you must check it out - heaven!"
The "Secrets of a Jewish Mother" author's empire will also soon expand to include the Spanx-esque line of products, called "Squeeze Couture," offered in a variety of colors and fabrics, not currently offered in the shape-enhancing apparel category.
