Before Casey Abrams was in the Top 13 of "American Idol," he was dueling with a Mormon boy over the love of his life ... in a student film at least.
TooFab has obtained a film Abrams did back in 2008 while attending the "Fame"-like school Idyllwild Arts Academy near L.A. -- where the "Idol" contender shows off both his acting and singing skills.
In the 20 minute short, "Loaf of Love," Abrams plays a yarmulke-wearing guy whose love/Jewish deli co-worker falls for a Mormon. We watched the whole thing and, sadly, Casey doesn't end up with the girl.
Abrams is credited as a collaborating director for the flick on IMDB -- check out one of his scenes above!
