What use is fame and fortune if you can't give back to those less fortunate?
There are two new websites out there empowering celebrities and their fans to give back.
YouCeleb.com is a fashion website that features the latest A-list fashions and accessories -- at a sizeable discount. Proceeds from sales of these items benefit the spotlighted star's charity of choice. This week, it's Vanessa Hudgens' Donni Charm "Donni Air" scarf, which the actress sported to a recent Lakers Game. See the photo to the left and check out the deal here.
A portion of the scarf sales will go to the Make a Wish Foundation -- the charity of her choice. It's a chance for her fashionable fans to look -- and feel -- great. Previous featured items included Jennifer Lopez's Amrita Singh earrings that she wore on "American Idol" and Nicky Hilton's "Bypass" spikes bangles.
Another website promoting philanthropy is HollywoodPledge.com. The site has brought together some of the biggest names in entertainment to publicly pledge their support to the causes of their choice. For example, Kim Kardashian champions the Dream Foundation, while Hugh Jackman has pledged to support World Vision, Global Poverty Project, and Harlem Village Academies.
Visitors to the site can see which causes their favorite celebrities are supporting and lend their own help. Over the weekend, stars like "American Idol" runner-up Blake Lewis (who supports the Seattle Children's Hospital Foundation and Cure JM Foundation), Terrell Owens, and "Twilight's"
BooBoo Stewart celebrated the site's launch.
