Normally, a trip to grandma's house isn't a big deal.
But when your grandmother is the monarch, and the house is Buckingham Palace, the occasion takes on much more weight.
On Friday, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Queen Elizabeth II went on a one-on-one tour of the exhibitions for the summer opening of Buckingham Palace. Among the items on display, Kate's Alexander McQueen wedding dress, her jeweled Cartier tiara, and the three-foot-tall cake from her and Prince Williams' wedding. Check out the photos below:
Apaprently, the Queen is not without a sense of humor. When she and Kate came upon the wedding dress, the Queen reportedly joked, "Horrid, isn't it? Horrid and dreadful!"
Already 150,000 to the exhibit have been sold. It runs through October at Buckingham palace.
