The Office kicks off its eighth season tomorrow, it does it without Michael Scott himself, Steve Carell.
Taking his place will be James Spader, who joined the show in the seventh season finale as the mysterious Robert California -- the new CEO of Dunder Mifflin paper company.
We've got the first clip of California from the premiere, interacting with the aloof Erin, the office receptionist played by Ellie Kemper.
California definitely brings a different vibe to the show -- but it could be a good change.
