Katy Perry was set to make her first red carpet appearance this week since Russell Brand filed for divorce -- but just bailed without reason.
"Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the People's Choice Awards," the singer just posted on her Twitter. "I want to thank u all for voting for me, fingers crossed! #KATYCATS"
The news comes just days after she returned to Twitter to address gossip about her split, writing "Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, 'close sources' or my family."
At the moment, Perry is still scheduled for concerts in Jakarta, Indonesia and the Philippines at the end of the month. No word if those will be canceled or postponed as well.
It's possible she won't hit the red carpet again until the Grammys in February.
