Before Lea Thompson rose to fame as Marty McFly's mom in the "Back to the Future" flicks, she was one of the teenagers facing off against evil Soviets in 1984 classic "Red Dawn."
Featuring a cast of rising hot stars like Patrick Swayze, Jennifer Grey, C. Thomas Howell and Charlie Sheen, Thompson was in good company as one of the rebel "Wolverines" -- and today, she turns 51!
Since starring in the flick, her third major motion picture after "Jaws 3" and "All the Right Moves," Thompson has gone on to star in hit movies and TV shows -- including the "Future" flicks, "Caroline in the City" and current ABC Family show "Switched at Birth."
With a remake of "Red Dawn" coming later this year starring Chris Hemsworth, check out what the rest of the original cast has been up to lately ... plus, see what they look like now!
