The 2012 CMT Music Awards are tonight, and while the CMT's are always a good time, that's not always the case with some of the fashions … and we have proof!
In celebration of the 2012 CMT Awards, we've pulled together some of the worst red carpet looks over the years. Taylor Swift's mermaid gown with a pond-size train at the 2007 award show was totally over the top.
And Nicole Kidman, who usually looks flawless on the red carpet, had a serious style slip-up going with that forest green velvet ensemble in 2011. Even Kellie Pickler should have opted for something a little less tacky and a tad more tasteful than her metallic skin-tight gold dress. Judging from this collection, it's safe to say there's been a few fashion faux pas to grace the CMT red carpets.
Hopefully this year some of these stars can redeem their style standing and perhaps glam it up a bit. Which means … we're hoping to see fewer jeans (it is an award show)!
