Oprah Winfrey is notorious for asking stars hard-hitting questions – remember when she asked the Kardashian kids if they thought their mogul mom was “pimping her children”?
Well, this time her sights are set on R&B's bad girl, Rihanna! In the episode airing August 19, Oprah chats with the songstress in her hometown of Barbados, where she opens up (and even breaks down into tears) about the pressure of being placed on a pedestal, living in the spotlight … and you guessed it – Chris Brown!
When asked about her volatile relationship with Brown (who pleaded guilty to physically assaulting her back in 2009), a teary eyed Rihanna tells Oprah “It was embarrassing. It was humiliating. I lost my best friend.”
The 24-year-old even admits that she went into a dark place post-split. Obviously the two have reconciled since, even collaborating on various tracks … but we're curious to see what else the superstar has to say about the high-profile relationship.
Even 'O was surprised with how candid the Barbados native was in the interview, later saying -- “She was thoughtful. She was very emotional. She was vulnerable.”
