After weeks and weeks of publicity, it's really, truly, finally the beginning of the end -- "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2" hit theaters on Thursday night with a bang.
The fifth and final film in the franchise brought in an estimated $30.4 million in evening and midnight runs, making it the third-highest grossing overnight opening of all time -- behind only "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2" ($43.5 mil) and "The Dark Knight Rises" ($30.6 mil).
Estimates have the movie bringing in nearly $150 mil over the weekend, the highest of the series.
The conclusion to the tale that made Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner household names has been drawing mostly negative reviews from critics, but that definitely hasn't stopped Twihards from showing up in droves for the flick.
