When "Gossip Girl" came to a close Monday night, it did so in style: something that's come to be expected of the glamorous (and melodramatic) CW show.
There were two weddings and a funeral, countless clothing changes, flashbacks to the first season and probably the biggest news of all: Gossip Girl herself was revealed.
Or, we should say, himself. Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) outed himself as the notorious Upper East Side blogger. His big reveal came along with a bunch of big cameo appearances including the Mayor of New York City himself, Michael Bloomberg, as well as CW darling Rachel Bilson and some former "GG" faces including Jessica Szhor's Vanessa and even the series' voice of Gossip Girl Kristen Bell.
Watch the revelation below:
While the naming of the show's trouble-making blogger was probably the hour's most anticipated moment, "Gossip Girl" didn't fail to tie up a bunch of loose ends. There was the death (again) of Bart Bass (Robert John Burke), the wedding of Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) and Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) and after giving viewers a series of wonderful flashbacks from the first season (and in some cases even earlier), the wedding of the show's most star-crossed lovers: Serena Van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Dan.
Watch their final scene together.
