Former "American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi will have a new talent to nurture -- she's expecting the arrival of her first child via surrogate.
Kara and husband Mike McCuddy already have a name picked out for their son: Greyson James Carroll McCuddy.
As toofab exclusively reported, DioGuardi just sold her Studio City home ... perhaps to prepare for the arrival of their little guy in February!
The 42-year-old and her hubby tied the knot in 2009 -- but the Grammy nominated songwriter has struggled for years with infertility.
After undergoing multiple (and unsuccessful) IVF treatments, the pair decided to seek the help of a surrogate.
"We made a personal decision to try with a surrogate. I asked someone we knew, a friend. And on the first try, it worked," Kara confessed to People magazine.
She added, "We're praying for our surrogate, that she gets through this and that it's as easy on her as it can possibly be, because she's been a gem throughout the whole process.”
Nothing is more precious than the gift of life. Congrats to the happy couple -- we can't wait to see baby McCuddy. Click "Launch Gallery" above to see more expecting stars!
