There's a new reality show called "Top Hooker" coming, but it's not what you think! These hookers are not the street-walking variety -- they're skilled fishermen (and women, we presume).
The show will premiere this summer on Animal Planet. A press release describes the show as an "in-your-face, full-throttle competition series that splits 10 expert fishers into two teams and pits them head-to-head in a series of wild, never-before-seen fishing challenges."
The challenges will range from fishing with outlandish tools to contestants netting fish with their mouths.
We love the tongue-in-cheek name and the concept sounds bad-bass (bass, get it?). In honor of the "Top Hooker" announcement, we present 10 other "real" reality shows with ridiculous names and concepts:
1. "The Littlest Groom"
The short-lived (pardon the pun) series followed a little person in his search for love. The show's twist including bringing in three "regular-sized" women.
2. "Shalom in the Home"
A rabbi dispenses advice to troubled families. Rabbi Shmuel Boteach was also responsible for the interestingly-titled "Kosher Sex."
3. "My Cat From Hell"
Surprisingly self-explanatory and relatable!
4. "Pitbulls and Parolees"
These are some tough b-tches.
5. "Monster Inside Me"
Trust us, this is the least stomach-churning photo from this series -- which documents people that have parasites living on or in them -- we could find.
6. "Best Funeral Ever"
Too bad the subjects never got to see themselves on air.
7. "Bridalplasty"
Stressed-out fame-seeking brides compete to get plastic surgeries by their wedding. Sounds like a recipe for disaster.
8. "Amish Mafia"
At least their identities are safe ... most Amish don't own a TV.
9. "Conveyor Belt of Love"
We would've loved to see the sequel ... "Escalator of Breakup"
10. "Extreme Cougar Wives"
We thought the slang term for much older women dating much younger guys was sabertooth tiger?
