Imagine yourself as a 17-year-old high school senior who desperately wants to take a stunning swimsuit model as your date to senior prom. Completely out of the question, right?
Maybe not.
Los Angeles kid Jake Davidson made the unlikely proposal to Sports Illustrated cover girl Kate Upton by posting a well-produced and pretty funny video on YouTube over the weekend.
The clip has gained a lot of buzz, with the 20-year-old model herself even replying on Twitter on Tuesday, saying "you can call me Katie if you want! How could I turn down that video! I'll check my schedule ;)"
Davidson then spoke with Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb on the "Today" show Wednesday morning, where he got the surprise of a lifetime -- Kate herself, calling in to speak with him.
"This just got so much better now that you're on the phone!" the excited teen exclaimed after a few moments of stunned silence.
"I absolutely loved the video! It was so hilarious and so creative," the blonde bombshell beamed. "Thank you so much for doing that, I really appreciate it."
