Emma Watson's ready to shed that "good girl" image!
The 22-year-old is going to the dark side for her latest flick, "The Bling Ring," where she plays Nicki, a wild, pole dancing, party girl from the Valley ... who infamously robbed the homes of Hollywood's most rich and famous!
Dressed in character (and kind of like Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman") for the May issue of Britain's GQ magazine, Watson opens up about playing the troubled character ... which was inspired by "Pretty Wild" star, Alexis Neiers.
"When I read the script and I realized that essentially it was a meditation on fame and what it's become to our society, I had to do it," says Emma of "The Bling Ring."
"The character is everything that I felt strongly against - she's superficial, materialistic, vain, amoral. She's all of these things and I realized that I hated her."
Watson also says that, for the first time, she really felt like she was acting because the sexy role is definitely a far cry from her personal character.
"This has been a really big departure for me; it's a really big character. That's so exciting for me because it meant I was really acting."
