Gretchen Rossi was playing defense last night on the "Real Housewives of Orange County" reunion special.
The ladies called out Gretchen's elaborate proposal and engagement to Slade Smiley as a made-for-TV event -- alleging that had the ladies not been filming season 8, Rossi wouldn't have gotten engaged.

But it didn't stop there -- the "Housewives" also attacked Gretchen for cheating on her dying fiance a few seasons back. Alexis Bellino and Tamra Barney both alluded that Gretchen had a "secret boyfriend" the whole time she was engaged to Jeff Beitzel.
