Sad news.
Lee Thompson Young, who starred as the lead in the Disney Channel series "The Famous Jett Jackson" has died at 29 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head.
"It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning," long time manager Jonathan Baruch.
"Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed. We ask that you please respect the privacy of his family and friends as this very difficult time."
Sources tell TMZ that Young's body was discovered with a gun shot wound that appears to be self-inflicted.
Most recently, he played detective Barry Ross on TNT's "Rizzoli and Isles." A versatile actor, Lee appeared on the drama "FlashForward" and the comedy "Scrubs."
He also appeared several films, including "Akelah and the Bee," "Friday Night Lights" and "The Hills Have Eyes 2."
Lee's celebrity fans and friends took to Twitter to express their condolences and pay tribute.
