Last night's "The X Factor" was insane ... literally!
While the judges had to make some tough decisions by the end of the night, picking the second round contestants to go forward, there were some crazy performances.
Neal Macomber's a general contractor, but his dream has always been to sing. Well, he didn't quite make the cut, but he did give one memorable performance ... which thoroughly creeped out Demi Lovato!

But the middle-aged rocker wasn't the only wild performance of the night, Keith Beukelaer's "Baby Got Back" got all the judges out of their chairs to dance.
Keith first tried his hand at performing nearly 10 years ago when he auditioned for "American Idol" ... and Simon labeled him as the worst singer in the world!
Last night, Beukelaer had the chance to come face to face with Cowell once again and this time as a rapper.
