While "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" divided fans of the original "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, Peter Jackson's sequel looks like it has a lot going for it.
A brand new trailer for "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" dropped online today -- and it's packed with familiar faces, giant spiders, dwarves, dragons and more!
It's clear Warner Bros. is trying to build up Orlando Bloom's return as Legloas with this trailer. We see a lot more of him and his new love interest, Tauriel -- which finds Evangeline Lilly in a role created specifically for the movie.
She's a welcome addition to the all-male cast and looks like she can hold her own with a bow.
And while we don't see Benedict Cumberbatch in the trailer, we definitely hear him. His voice is unmistakeable as the title dragon, Smaug.
The film continues the adventure of Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and a band of dwarves on an "epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor."
The flick hits theaters December 13. Will you be seeing it?
