It's rumored that most of Taylor Swift's latest album, "Red," is about Jake Gyllenhaal -- and it sounds like he reacted to the songs A LOT better than John Mayer.
In a New York Magazine feature about the singer (via Vulture), Swifty keeps it cryptic when talking about her famous exes, revealing that some of them actually like the breakup songs based on their relationships.
"I heard from the guy that most of Red is about," Swift says in the interview. "He was like, 'I just listened to the album, and that was a really bittersweet experience for me. It was like going through a photo album.' That was nice."
"Nicer than, like, the ranting, crazy e-mails I got from this one dude," she continues. "It's a lot more mature way of looking at a love that was wonderful until it was terrible, and both people got hurt from it-- but one of those people happened to be a songwriter."
We're guessing the "ranting songwriter" is John Mayer, who also publicly slammed his ex for writing "Dear John" about him.
"I was really caught off-guard, and it really humiliated me at a time when I'd already been dressed down," Mayer said at the time. "I never did anything to deserve that. It was a really lousy thing for her to do ... I will say as a songwriter that I think it's kind of cheap songwriting."
In the new interview, Taylor says she doesn't write songs about everyone though.
"If I go on two dates with a guy and we don't click, I'm not writing a song about that," she says, adding that she only writes "about crazy love."
And for the guys who are surprised when they do end up on her record, she only says this: "Did you not Wikipedia me before you called me up [for a date]?"
