Well, that was quick!
With a $3 million budget and a box office haul of almost $90 million, "The Purge" was a surprise success story of 2013. Now, almost a year to the day later, Universal is ready to unleash a sequel.
The first trailer for "The Purge: Anarchy" was released online today. The new installment follows a couple whose car breaks down on the night of the title event, the one night a year where any crime -- including murder -- is legal.
The first flick took place inside the high-tech home of Ethan Hawke's character, but this time around they're taking it to the streets ... which are apparently full of masked murderers on motorcycles.
The sequel stars "Friday Night Lights" alum Zach Gilford, his real-life wife Kiele Sanchez and Frank Grillo.
Judging from the trailer, it's unclear if Lena Heady will return for the second film, but her voice can be heard at the end of the clip above.
"The Purge: Anarchy" opens June 20.
