Chelsea Clinton has a bun in the oven!
The daughter of Bill and Hillary Clinton announced that she's expecting her first child with husband Marc Mezvinsky. She shared the happy news on Thursday during "Girls: A No Ceilings Conversation," an event that she was hosting with her mother.
"Marc and I are very excited that we have our first child arriving later this year," she told the audience. "I certainly feel all the better, whether it's a girl or a boy, that he or she will grow up in a world full of so many strong female leaders. So, thank you for inspiring me and thank you for inspiring future generations, including the one that we will welcome into our family later this year. I just hope that I will be as good a mom to my child as my mom was to me."
"We are very excited about what's happening in our family," Hilary added.
The new addition will be Chelsea and Marc's first child, as well as the first grandchild for the former President and the Secretary of State.
Clinton and her investment banker beau said "I do" in a lavish ceremony in July 2010 in Rhinebeck, N.Y.
