Tori Spelling is ready to confront Dean McDermott.
In the premiere episode of her new Lifetime reality series, "True Tori," the "Mystery Girls" star takes viewers into her first therapy session with her unfaithful husband.
Dean and Tori have been married for seven years and have four kids. "Then in one moment everything changed," Tori confesses to the cameras. "I know our marriage is worth fighting for."
Her first interview for the series (the one in the opening scene) was done on April 1. "Don't feel sorry for me," she tells cameras.
So, what's the reason she's doing the show? Tabloids always get it wrong, she says, but this time they "got it right."
Spelling's worst nightmare came true days before Us Weekly published the story of McDermott's Toronto fling with Emily Goodhand, when he confirmed the story in private.
As previously reported, McDermott then voluntarily checked himself in to treatment the following day back in late December 2013.
In the clip above, Tori goes to see Dean in rehab -- the first time the two have spoken since he admitted the truth. It quickly becomes clear that the couple have had issues for a long time. Tori mentions that a couple of months into the relationship she felt "bamboozled" by Dean. He admits he was a heavy drinker and also a chronic liar. "Lying is how I got out of things for years," he says.
"Everything you're saying right now is sounding very familiar," she says. "But I'm not at a place where I can believe anything."
"I'm angry that you cheated on me," she adds.
"I cheated on you and I lied to you," he says. Twice. Then adds, "I don't want to lose you."
Over the past seven years, she tells cameras that she tried to change him. "I've been let down over and over again."
Then he says he "wants to come home."
He goes to hug her and she tells him not to. "I'm conflicted because I want him to come home too because it's really hard to be there with four kids and I would love the help, but I just feel like we're not there yet."
The show is heartbreaking to watch, and we're definitely rooting for Tori.
