A new "American Idol" has been crowned!
It came down to Caleb Johnson and Jena Irene on the finale of the Fox singing competition on Wednesday night.
After some amazing performances by Phillip Phillips, Kiss, Demi Lovato, Paramore, Jason Mraz, John Legend, and many more, it was time for host, Ryan Seacrest, to announce the winner.
So, the winner of Season 13 is ...
Caleb Johnson!
Not only has Caleb won the title of the newest American Idol, a huge cash prize, and a record deal, he and runner-up Jena have also won Ford Mustangs.
Johnson's win came on the strength of his renditions Tuesday of "Dream On," ''Maybe I'm Amazed" and "As Long as You Love Me," intended as his first single. Irene sang "Dog Days Are Over," ''Can't Help Falling in Love" and "We Are One."
