Kerry Washington is opening up about being a mom!
In an interview with The Los Angeles Times on Tuesday, the "Scandal" star actress talked about her feelings on motherhood for the first time since the birth of her daughter, Isabelle, last month.
"I feel really, really blessed," she said. "I just feel really blessed that I'm kind of living extraordinary dreams come true in my work life and in my personal life."
The 37-year-old actress first broke her silence about being a mom in May, nearly a month after giving birth to her daughter.
In typical Kerry form, she kept her silence about the birth while expressing gratitude for her fans' well wishes on Twitter: "Well...I still won't talk about my personal life on here," she tweeted in May. "But...I see your tweets. And I am filled with gratitude! XO #HappyMothersDay."
The brunette beauty certainly likes to keep her private life, well, private!
Not only did she keep her baby's gender under wraps, but she also secretly tied the knot with Nnamdi Asomugha on June 24, 2013 in Hailey, Idaho.
In the October issue of "Glamour," Washington explained why she doesn't publically comment on personal life.
"I learned through experience that it doesn't work for me to talk about my personal life ... I only want to talk about the good stuff, but not the bad stuff," she said.
We can't wait to see Kerry's little bundle of joy!
