Fox Mulder and Dana Scully are back in action!
The first trailer for the Fox's highly-anticipated "X-Files" reboot was just released -- and we're getting our first (and very brief) glimpse of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their infamous roles.
The 15-second clip, which is titled "I Want To Believe," is shot through a spooky mist and with the beloved series' signature soundtrack playing behind.
Back in March, Fox confirmed that the "The X-Files" will return as a limited, six-episode series, 13 years after the original show ended its nine-season run.
"I think of it as a 13-year commercial break,” creator Chris Carter in a statement at the time. "The good news is the world has only gotten that much stranger, a perfect time to tell these six stories."
"'The X-Files' was not only a seminal show for both the studio and the network, it was a worldwide phenomenon that shaped pop culture – yet remained a true gem for the legions of fans who embraced it from the beginning," added Dana Walden and Gary Newman, Chairmen and CEOs of Fox Television Group.
"Few shows on television have drawn such dedicated fans as 'The X-Files,' and we're ecstatic to give them the next thrilling chapter of Mulder and Scully they've been waiting for.”
The show won't make it's big return until January 2016 -- but to get a taste, watch the creepy trailer above!
