Karlie Kloss is getting extremely candid about her relationships!
The model covers the September issue of Glamour magazine, where she opens up about her instant connection with Taylor Swift, her love life and her nice girl image.
The brunette beauty -- who turned 23-years-old on Monday -- says that she and the "Blank Space" singer had an almost-instant connection at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show two years ago when Swift performed.
"Taylor and I met at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show two years ago. [Model] Lily Aldridge introduced us," she tells the mag. "She was like, 'OK, you two are kindred spirits. How have my two nice American friends never met?' And that was it….. Our friendship is the same as yours and mine. Many of my closest friends are traveling all the time, so it takes constant effort—texting, FaceTiming—on all ends to maintain close relationships."
Taylor, of course, gave Karlie a birthday shout out via social media ... but drew some criticism from fans who thought her post made the sweet gesture more about the pop star's relationship with Calvin Harris rather than her friendship with Kloss.
"Some of my best memories have been with this girl, laughing in the kitchen. Happy Birthday to the ray of light that is @karliekloss," she posted with a candid snap of her and Calvin.
While we do think it's a little odd that she chose this pic, out of the probably thousands the two have together, it was still a very sweet message to the model.
Like Taylor, Karlie has a special guy in her life too -- Kloss is currently dating tech investor Josh Kushner. While the model says she likes to keep her private life, well private, she does reveal what she looks for in a relationship.
"I tend to be very private about this because there are so many other parts that people feel like they can have an opinion about, be it my friendships or my body image…. For me, it's about finding someone that challenges you and makes you laugh. You want to surround yourself with people—both a partner and friends—who let you be yourself," she explains.
And when it comes to Karlie's "sweetest supermodel" title, Kloss says she has no problem with the name.
"There are worse things than being called sweet," she says. "And I think the way that both you [Derek Blasberg] and I were raised was to be grateful to people. I'm a nice girl, and I've embraced it."
We can definitely see why Karlie has such an amazing group of friends in her life -- she sounds like a pretty great person.
