Lewis Hamilton briefly spoke about his relationship with Rihanna while chatting with E! News at the 2015 MTV VMAs on Sunday.
The Formula 1 racer has been spotted a handful of times this summer with the Barbadian beauty and finally addressed whether they're dating.
"You know, I've known Ri for a long time," he said of the rumors at the award show. "We've been friends for a while. We get to hang out every now and again... but otherwise we've just been friends."
Both stars were spotted spending some quality time at the annual Grand Kadooment Day parade and later on a yacht together in Barbados back in August.
This isn't the first time Lewis has been linked to a pop star, though. He previously dated Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls.
