Kendall Jenner has been creating a ton of buzz about her ... nipples ... since she hit the red carpet last week sporting some a new accessory.
While she's had the piercing for a few months now, the seasoned supermodel is now opening up about it for the first time.
"It is true," the 19-year-old star told Page Six at an event for Estee Lauder's new fragrance. "I was going through a period in my life, having a rough time, being a rebel and was like 'Let's just do it.'"
The piercing was so spontaneous that the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" starlet almost chickened out. "[I was] so terrified, I'm laying on the bed like 'Why am I doing this?' Honestly, it hurt, but wasn't as bad as everyone made it seem and maybe because everyone hyped it up and I thought it would be really, really bad. Then it wasn't as bad as I expected."
Whether fans like her new hardware or not, Kendall admits that she doesn't pay attention to negative comments on social media.
"I don't need it to affect my life. So I'd rather just not look at anything," Jenner told WWD. "You can get a million comments about how beautiful you look and how awesome you are, but the one comment that says they hate you and you're ugly is the one that sticks."
Even though Jenner has grown up in the spotlight and has become the new "It" girl in the modeling world, she tries to keep parts of her life to herself.
"I think I'm the most private out of my family," she said of her famous family. "I'm always paying attention to that, and I try not to be too invasive into my personal life. When I was younger, I used to tweet a lot, everything I was doing and feeling. I can't do that anymore, because it's just giving people too much room to judge. I love posting a good picture, though."
The brunette bombshell also says she's learned from her sisters' mistakes. "My sisters raised me along with my parents, and Kylie and I got to learn from their mistakes, for sure," she explains. "We'd watch them to learn about it before we actually got on the ride."
"My little sister and I make our mistakes, but at least we're aware of it, what you have to be careful of. And they taught me not to listen to what the media has to say about me," she adds. "The tabloids write the worst, most unrealistic things you could think of, like I'm pregnant with my sister's baby."
