Well, this is an interesting look!
Anne Hathaway returned to the red carpet for the premiere of her new movie, "The Intern," in New York City on Monday.
The brunette beauty looked gorgeous -- from the neck up -- rocking smokey eyes and side-swept curls. But, what was going on with her outfit?!
Hathaway's one-shoulder black Rodarte dress was quite the spectacle. While the actress' style can be a bit hit or miss, this look just has way too much going on. The dress probably could have been salvaged if the designer stuck with just one accent -- beading, sequins or fringe.
Anne was also joined on the red carpet with costar Robert De Niro, who dressed way down for the premiere. The 72-year-old kept his look casual, wearing a black ball cap, black blazer, gray T-shirt and matching slacks. We would have loved to see the actor wear a sharp suit, just like his character in the movie.
Nevertheless, both stars seemed to be in great spirits and even posed hand-in-hand for a few photos.
