Today was a big day for Claire Danes!
The "Homeland" actress received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and she celebrated the honor with her "My So-Called Life" family.
Bess Armstrong, who played Danes' mother on the show, posed for pictures at the event with the guest of honor, the show's creator, Winnie Holzman, and "Homeland" producer Alex Gansa.
Watch the ceremony below:
Claire, who looked stunning in a ruffled red tea-length dress, stood next to her TV mom as she spoke at the ceremony.
"There's a small group of us here today that had the privilege and pleasure of knowing Claire at the very beginning of her career when we all worked together on 'My So-Called Life,'" Armstrong told the crowd. "She wasn't quite so glamorous back then. She wore sneakers and jeans and big baggy shirts, and she had this violently maroon hair. It was right before her 14th birthday."
"Even then she had the charisma of a star and the real depth and gravitas of an artist," she continued. "She would give these performances that were so sensitive and intelligent and astoundingly emotional. It made lesser mortals like me seriously consider alternate careers. Claire just woke up knowing things that no acting class could teach."
It's hard to believe it's been more than 20 years since Danes first stole our hearts as Angela Chase. She won an Emmy Award for her performance back in 1995, nabbing more trophies for her roles in "Temple Grandin" and "Homeland."
Check out the gallery above to see what Claire's "My So-Called Life" costars are up to today, including Rickie Vasquez (Wilson Cruz), Brian Krakow (Devon Gummersall), Sharon Cherski (Devon Odessa) Rayanne Graff (AJ Langer), and, of course, Jordan Catalano (Jared Leto).
Congrats on the star, Claire!
