Jesse James is opening up about his very public split from Sandra Bullock.
Back in 2010, the "Monster Garage" host was famously caught cheating with multiple women, right after the couple attended the Oscars together.
Now, five years later, James takes full responsibility for his actions. “The relationship part I was able to put [aside],” he says in a new interview on "In Depth With Graham Bensinger." "I had to stand up in front of the media and take full account for what I did. And I took it all. I took 100 percent of it right on the chin. Nobody does that. Everybody denies it."
Before the pair separated, they adopted a little boy -- Louis. While they brought him home together, he now lives with Bullock full time, something Jesse continues to struggle with.
"The painful part was about Louis, who we adopted," he admits. "As bad as stuff was between us, we adopted a kid and things got kind of good for a little while and we had that kid to focus on, and, boom, it was over in 24 hours — gone, done."
Jesse also explains why he thinks Sandra's A-list status got in the way of his relationship with his son. It definitely sounds like he's bitter about how it all played out.
"I got divorced and lost a kid I adopted because of it," he reveals. "Whether that's fair, whether I should have lost a kid due to infidelity, which I don't think anybody ever does. But I think with 'Hollywood Law' that's totally fair."
After news of his infidelity broke, James entered rehab to work on himself. "I'm the guy that ruined my marriage because I banged some stripper," he declares. "There's got to be some flaw in my personality that made me think that was okay."
James and Bullock have both found love again -- Jesse is now married to drag racer Alexis DeJoria and Sandra is rumored to be dating photographer Bryan Randall.
